2006–present
Sean enlisted in the U.S. Army in 2006 and commissioned as an officer in 2009. His assignments have included Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, the National Security Agency at Fort Meade, an exercise in Korea, and a deployment to Kuwait in support of Operation Inherent Resolve.
Community service
Volunteer fire service put Sean alongside neighbors on some of their hardest days. It made public safety personal and reinforced his belief that government must be competent, calm, and ready when people need it most.
Study and preparation
Sean earned undergraduate degrees at The Ohio State University spanning political science, international studies, and Chinese language and culture, followed by graduate study in public administration, business, and strategic intelligence.
Serial entrepreneurship
Sean has started and run multiple ventures, creating value for American customers, workers, and communities. That experience anchors his belief in competitive markets, disciplined execution, accountable budgets, and an economy that rewards people who build things that last.
Public life
While in law school, Sean ran in the 2018 Democratic primary for Maryland House of Delegates in District 26 because he saw problems that demanded action—and because people asked him to step forward, represent them, and pursue positive change.
He has learned and grown a great deal in the years since. The damage, division, and upheaval our country has faced lately have made the need for steady public service more urgent. Sean is not announcing a candidacy for a particular office today, but he is ready to answer the call again whenever it arises—and believes it is finally time to be ready.
